THE ONE-WORD SHIRT ACTIVIST PROJECT

THE ONE-WORD SHIRT
History teachers, PTO/PTA's, Student Governments and students can participate in this artistic activity to increase awareness of the proposed cuts to your SCUSD education.
Here is how it works:
ü          Get a T-shirt. If there are words or a picture already on your T-shirt, turn it inside out.
ü          Get some fabric paint, markers, or a sharpie.
ü          On the back of your ONE-WORD SHIRT choose at least one of Superintendent Raymond’s proposed cuts to your education and clearly write this on the back of your T-shirt.  A listing of proposed cuts is provided on this blog. Just click on the link called "Proposed Cuts By Superintendent Raymond" in the archive section on the left-hand side of this blog.
ü          On the FRONT of your ONE-WORD SHIRT write only ONE WORD that you feel describes Superintendent Raymond’s proposed cuts.
ü          Rude or vulgar words, although tempting, will not be tolerated or effective. When you’ve only got ONE WORD, than make it count!
Here is a list of ONE WORD to choose from. If you want to add another word, email donnapreston7@gmail.com and I will add it to this list.
Make your  ONE WORD count:

·         Atrocious
·         Bad
·         Deflating
·         Demeaning
·         Despicable
·         Discouraging
·         Frightening
·         Hideous
·         Oblivious
·         Ridiculous
·         Sad
·         Terrible
·         Unacceptable
·         Unbelievable
·         Unimaginative
Uninspired

Wear your ONE-WORD-SHIRT when you JOIN THE RALLY on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 5:30. JOIN THE RALLY and support the students. JOIN THE RALLY at the SCUSD District Office located on 5735 47th Avenue in Sacramento.
